Summerstrand Village Shopping Centre

The first phase of this Nelson Mandela Bay beachfront icon, was built in 1986 as an open air centre.

The structure was enclosed and roofed with two tensile fabric structures over courtyards in 1996 by Graham Grant (then with trading through a different entity in Joint venture with LKFM Architects.

The Centre is a neighborhood convenience shopping centre comprising 6370 square meters of GLA over two floors. 4940 square meters of the GLA is on ground floor. Pick’n Pay is the anchor tenant occupying 1940 sqm.

NOH has been responsible for regular upgrade projects over many years including an interior re-vamp to public areas and ablutions in 2015, an internal redecoration again in 2017 and the external upgrade and redecoration in 2021.

NOH has most recently prepared documentation for a 980 square meter retail extension including SDP approval.
